Terra Cafe & Bistro in Ingolstadt

Always great local fresh food, the bakery is like going to a gourmet shop - each item is a work of art! and YUMMY. Just look at these Key Lime pies :-). Allison and Dylan are the best! Thanks! I was going to ask permission to post the artist photo, I hope he does not mind. As I said earlier their items are like little works of art...well we were lucky enough to see a BIG work of art being done. Thanks! They have something for everyone, gluten free, they have it; vegan they have that too. I know some people say they have so many great review 'I don't need to post anything'. But sometimes I post so the business and the people that work there know they are appreciated. :-) Everyone here is appreciated! BTW I do sincerely appreciate the fact that they sell and package their items in paper :-) I know that the other stuff is often cheaper, so here is one patron that is grateful for that.

Quaint place we visited today for brunch. We arrived at 10:30a and apparently a different/smaller menu is used. We still had a great meal with French toast, eggs, fresh fruit and bacon. Very affordable as well. Would recommend for breakfast/brunch anytime.

This used to be so good! Every time I came to town for a horrible doctor appt. I would look forward to this place, but for the last 3 years it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse. The food quality, presentation, service, it’s all just declining after each visit. The Berry bars! They used to be amazing, a lot of stuff did. Today I got a mocha. It was so watered down I didn’t even taste like coffee, and not even good hot chocolate. It tasted like old, nasty hot chocolate. Maybe my order wasn’t fancy enough to require actual espresso, idk ( it did say espresso on the menu) ? But this is a sad day, my very last trip to a much beloved restaurant.

I am a big fan of their desserts and smoothies. They always have a variety of choices and decent prices. Both indoor and outdoor sitting areas are very comfortable and relaxing. One of the greatest places in Morgantown.

Great place for lunch! Great ingredients, vegetarian friendly, and a nice selection of local beers! I love that they're right on the rail trail too!

Obnoxious little waiter.

The drinks were only okay. The atmosphere was uncomfortably bougie, and the staff were overall very unhelpful and really didn't seem to care about giving good customer service at all. After we had ordered and gotten our table number, none of the indoor tables were open, and we weren't sure, what with their COVID precautions and us having never been there before, what the protocol was for getting a table outside. We asked a staff member we saw behind the bar table, amd he seemed to A) *really* not care about helping us and B) like even he barely knew what was going on. When we were finally able to sit down outside, and eventually got our drinks (two smoothies and a coffee), my roommate who has very restrictive dietary needs wound up not able to drink the smoothie they ordered. We went to talk to the staff at the counter to see if they could help us find something on the menu my roommate would actually be able to drink, and they were so dismissive and apathetic about the whole thing that my roommate wound up having a panic attack. On top of all that, most of the reason we had even stopped at Terra to begin with was because I have problems with my spine that require me to walk with a cane and wear a back brace, and we had been exploring Morgantown for a while and I really needed to sit down for a bit. The chairs in their outdoor seating are *terrible*. They actually made me feel *worse* than I had standing up. We will definitely NOT be going back here. It was an all-around bad experience. Literally the ONLY positive point was that my chai smoothie was pretty decent.

What even is vegan?!

Terra cafe is the first place I tell Morgantown visitors to dine! The plant-based options keep me coming back. I love the smoothies and vegan almond joy bar. Although some items are pricey, the size and quality of ingredients makes it worth it. The Thai tofu wrap and roasted veggie salad are my favorites! I would suggest adding vegan cheese to the menu.

I love terra Cafe. Open with alcohol at early hours for the night staff that comes off duty. Great food. Great outside dining.

Best pastries around starcity area

The coffee options are great, atmosphere is nice as well. The food options are a little overpriced and underwhelming for what you get. 14 dollars for a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel? Get out of here. Additionally, staff seemed unorganized both times I visited. Would go back, but not for the food.

Great food, friendly employees, and a playground for kids. There’s also a pavilion near the lake where you can picnic, and it has dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Great food & yummy desserts!

This was my first time dining here. I’m not a vegan or vegetarian by any means so I took a risk by ordering a black bean burger with a side of habanero coleslaw and it ended up backfiring on me. I do realize, however, that this was my own fault and that I should have played it a bit safer. On a brighter note, the caramel iced latte I ordered was fantastic and was easily one of the best coffees I have had in Morgantown. Additionally, my friend ordered a side of macaroni and cheese with her meal that she shared with me and I really enjoyed it. I give Terra Cafe four stars as I’m sure there is more to offer here that I just so happened to miss out on my first go around. I look forward to returning soon.

I absolutely love this place! I never leave reviews but I wanted to put one in because my food is consistently amazing. The roasted vegetable salad is my new favorite. The lattes are also amazing (especially with oat milk). I can’t say enough wonderful things about my visits to Terra Cafe. When a restaurant is consistent, I will go back again and again and this is what I experience here.

Being a vegan/vegetarian this place has good options! Amazing food !!! Never given any restaurant 5 star but this place the food was just outstanding!! Love it and must try ! ?

The place in town where I want to be a regular. It's nice for an intimate meal or a drink after exercise and play along the rail trail.

Loved the location and the food! Pretty good but the sweets were a bit too sugary to me. I loved my beef chimichurri sandwich! Also nice place to study if you need it.

The food is good, especially the pastries and sweets. Service is often a little slow, but typically worth the wait. Nice location by the river and park, convenient parking.

MAGNIFICENT. I can't get enough of this place. I sincerely wish I lived closer to it so that I could dine more frequently. Their Saturday burger special is SO yummy-- and the portion of beef is HUGE!

Never had a horrible experience until today. I was trying to place an order while I was on the road and ofcourse I wasnt going to get on my phone to look at the menu. Asked the worker, who turns out to be the manager if u could go over some menu items, he asked me to look up on the internet. Working for a customer service, I know this much that u dont say that to a customer. When I advised him that wasnt helpful(since I was driving), he just hangs up on me. May be he doesnt like his job or may be the management is horrible and dont pay their staff much. So it just left a bitter taste in my mouth..

Everything sucks , service was the worst , avoid this play if you value your time

I have been going to Terra for many years and the service has been spotty but this was the first time the food has been disgusting. My boyfriend ordered a salad with chicken. It had no chicken, followed by rotted kale, followed by huge kale leaves that weren’t even cut up and to top it all off, it had a hair in it. They were very rude when I went to tell them. My salad was warm, but at the time I didn’t think too much of it until I got home and was sick. I guess I should have known when I saw the tables dirty and workers not wearing masks. What an incredibly disappointing experience as Terra was a favorite restaurant, especially being one of the few places I could find vegan desserts.

I want to love Terra Cafe, but it's always a hit or miss. The desserts are usually fantastic though.

Terra Cafe is doing it right. They support local business providing a place for local coffee roasters to sell their coffee. They have a fantastic environment to have a business Meetup. Conveniently located right along the rail trail next to the river with patio seating and a pickup window. Their coffee and food is amazing. (Highly recommend the pepperoni rolls ? they go over and above for their customers. Top notch

Excellent local and unique cuisine. Delicious desserts. Chill atmosphere.

The atmosphere is relaxed and includes indoor and outdoor seating. The food was pretty good but the coffee and desserts were the stars of the show. The coffee was fantastic. They have locally roasted beans. The desserts are made at the cafe and the cafe has a variety of desserts available. We enjoyed both desserts we tried, especially the carrot cake. Finding a good carrot cake can be difficult, but their carrot cake was wonderful.

Best meal I've had from there yet, and none have been disappointing! The togo valentines option was the perfect option for my wife and I! My favorite part was the app. That prosciutto puff pastry was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended. 10/10 A++
